Bad Ischl (Upper Austria)
WATERS FOR THE DEMANDING FLY FISHERMAN
ISCHLER ACHE (Salzkammergut)
The Ischler Ache flows between Lake Wolfgang and the River Traun. We offer you the chance to fish in the lower end of the river, across a 3.4 km stretch upstream from the Traun – all year round! In this section, the Ischl flows through the old Imperial city of Bad Ischl, where many small falls are home to large – and at times very large – fish. In fly fishing circles, the river is also well known as an excellent source of grayling. The Ischl boasts outstanding water quality and is not impacted by floodwaters or snowmelt. The river offers ideal conditions for dry fly fishers well into late autumn.
