Location
Ebensee (Upper Austria)

This 3 km section of the River Traun is downstream from the town of Bad Ischl. At this location, the Traun is a wide river with occasional strong currents. As a result, the trout and grayling are strong and in excellent physical condition, and are guaranteed to put up a good fight! In this area, the river is characterized by long uninterrupted stretches, deep pools and shallow sections, creating ideal conditions for a wonderful fly fishing experience. In spite of its width, the Traun can be easily waded, and when the water level is low can even be crossed at certain spots. The river’s perfect conditions for fish ensure an excellent stock of rainbow trout and grayling.
