Fly fishing – Mühlheimer Ache

Mühlheimer Ache (Upper Austria)

These are two stretches of the Mühlheimer Ache owned by Veronika and Helmut Schlagmann. Their shallow depth makes them ideal for dry-fly fishing. The water holds an excellent stock of brown trout, rainbow trout, grayling, and barbel. The abundant barbel offer particularly exciting fishing; they can be caught effectively on the fly and put up a great fight.
