Do you provide accommodation for a course or guiding?
Yes, we would be delighted to organize accommodation for you in close proximity to your fishing location. Please let us know your requirements as early as possible, so that we can arrange everything for you.
Who arranges permits and tax cards?
We arrange the necessary permits and tax cards for our courses and guidings. If you wish to fish independently, you may purchase permits and tax cards at any time from Hurch Flyfishing Salzburg. We look forward to your visit!
Is it necessary to take part in a course or guiding? Or can I learn to fly fish on my own?
Of course it is possible to teach yourself fly fishing. There are many fly fishers who have never attended a casting course or taken part in a guiding. This decision is up to each individual.
In our view, however, correctly learning the basics of fly fishing from A-Z is extremely beneficial. Generally, it is very difficult to correct errors in technique once the body has learned them, and these errors can lead to further difficulties that make it hard to acquire new casting techniques (trick casting).
Do you also offer casting courses on land or water, which will help me improve my casting technique or learn new techniques (trick casting)?
Please call us if you are interested for casting courses.
